What is Force?
It is the energy required to move from one level of experience to another. The dictionary defines force as "the energy required to overcome resistance." You can make a fairly good comparison between the power of force and the power of gasoline. In the auto world gasoline provides the energy required to overcome the resistance from the weight of the car so that it will move. In the world of experiences, force serves the same purpose as gasoline because it overcomes the resistance people encounter when they try to move from a lesser condition to one that is better.
A particularly freaky thought is that on many different levels, you are either losing or gaining force every second of your life. That sort of stops you in your tracks, doesn't it?
So, How Do You Gain Force?
You gain force in a way that no one wants to hear. By investing your thoughts and feelings and behavior into what you are presently doing regardless of whether you think you are benefiting or not.
Does this go against human nature? Absolutely! But the only progress you will make in this life is to do just that — go against your human nature. After all, you are a spiritual being having a human experience, not the other way around!
How Do You Lose Force?
You lose force by joining the mindset of those people we saw in the donut shop. They were begrudging every second they worked and probably felt sorry for themselves.
There is great wisdom in the saying: "Bloom where you are planted." But we realize, as you do also, that this is a bitter pill to swallow when you hate where you are. But can you see that hating where you are is the way to lose the force you need to move to something better?
So what we want to say to you is this: If you are called to do something that you do not like, even if it's selling donuts, invest all of yourself into the project. When you do, you are depositing force into a spiritual bank account, so to speak, and it will be there for you when you need to move on to something better.
