I've been aware of the relationship between my life and the kind and quality of the ideas that dance around in my head for many years. Perhaps you have too, and it may not be much of a stretch for you to accept that what you think about influences your experiences. What can be a dilemma, however, is reconciling those negative experiences that blind-side you when you can't remember thinking such things!
Ideas never go away. They just lurk in the shadows of your mind until they gain enough energy to manifest as an experience. The reason you don't make the connection between the unexpected experience and the causal idea that is responsible for it is that you're not aware of much of what you thought in the past.
The UPSIDE of all this is that painful experiences bring out into the open hidden ideas that will continue to sabotage your life unless you recognize them and resolve them. Your life is not always improved by what you do in the outer. It's what you get rid of in your mental world that opens the door for more expanded experiences.
