What’s the big hurry? The world is not sitting there, thrumming its fingers and waiting for you to perform. For the most part, we’re the ones calling the shots. We put ourselves in situations where we are up against the wall by trying to be all things to all people. What to do? Stop it!

Sometimes you just need to quit racing around at 100 mph. Sometimes you just need to say, “No!” Sometimes you need to speak up and let people know what YOU need instead of always trying to fit into their schedule.

Are you expecting someone to be at the end of this race you’re on with an award of some sort? Not going to happen. So you had better slow down and enjoy the life you have.

Conflict could be lessened considerably if people took the time to assess their own perspective before judging what others say. Why? Because if you don't, you are coloring everything you're reading or hearing with your own expectations.~ Dannye Williamsen
